Helping you to power your plant responsibly

Control Techniques drives are designed and produced using technologies that reduce energy consumption and protect the environment. The materials used within our drives are up to 85% recyclable.

Re-energise your business

Control Techniques drives may be configured to power a motor or re-circulate excess braking energy back into the mains supply, reducing energy consumption and significantly reducing your energy bills.

Instapak Disposal

Earlier this year Control Techniques Dynamics changed its packaging material for finished motors from a paper to foam based system produced by a company called Sealed Air

The main advantage of this new foam system is it gives much better protection to the finished motor. The foam is a polyurethane foam and contains no Chloro-flurocarbons (CFC’s) or Hydrochloro-flurocarbons (HCFC’s).

There are some options available for dealing with the waste management of this product, including re use as packaging, use in waste to energy facilities or returning the product to one of the foam manufacturers agents. It is also able to be land filled although we would encourage our customers to consider this as the least environmentally friendly option.

Many countries have specific legislation, some mandatory on dealing with packaging waste and it is the responsibility of the end user to ensure these are complied with.

A guide to dealing with this product in the waste stream can be downloaded from the link below. Any specific questions should be forwarded to the local agent of Sealed Air who should be able to answer any questions or concerns that you may have.
